Apr 3, 2006 Best by 8/19/06. Black. Large, creamy, tan head. Nose is rich, toasty malt, anise, subtle hops and alcohol. Same flavor with a bit of ash, also. Very nice poisonous finish combining resin, anise, alcohol, and ash. Full, rich, balanced body. One of the best porters I’ve had.

Mar 10, 2006 Bottle shared with tupalev & jerc - courtesy of tupalev. Deep brown colour with a wispy tan head. Aroma has a strange off note, sort of stale smelling, but has a nice sweet malty character. Body is a bit thin, but OK. Flavour has lots of chocolate and malt, a bit of fruit and nut, and a slightly stale finish. I suspect this was an old bottle, but it was still a decent brew.

Mar 8, 2006 black pour with no head....aroma is of caramel, cream, nuts, chocolate, coffee, and raison....flavor is quite the same and is equally satisfying...awesome cream and hazelnut hints to a wonderful chewy roasted backbone...finish had a strong alcoholic bite to it, with some metallic or coiny elements to it...nice palate

Mar 6, 2006 500ml bottle via trades with slob (Thanks Bert) and kramer17801(thanks Jason!) Pours black with a nice 1/4 inch tan head that stays pretty well and laces some down the glass. Nice aroma of roasted malts,coffee and light chocolate. Flavor is roasty as well. Nice roasted malts, coffee, and much sweet chocolate, also a touch of molasses and black liccorice. Palate is medium bodied and creamy. Fair carbonation. Alcohol was well hidden. This is a pretty nice baltic!

Mar 5, 2006 Not quite as flavorful or well blended in flavor as other baltic porters, but nor bad overall. The richness of the munich malt seemed to stand alone from the roasted malts instead of them complimenting each other.

Mar 4, 2006 The pour is beautiful. Black with half inch of pretty khaki foam. Lice lacing that coats the walls of the glass completely. Aroma is very mild roast with chocolate. No alcohol presence at all. Pretty mild and a little dissapointing. Its well made and well done, but I’m just not excited.

Feb 28, 2006 Bottle shared with Jerc and GregClow. Strong sweet aroma, but also stale and bottley. Pitch black, small beige head. Nice strong sweet taste, but again, a little stale and metallic. Harsh, roasty, medicinal. Even slightly grainy. Not a great Baltic Porter in my opinion, I’ll take the Okocim over this any day.

Feb 25, 2006 Pours a dark black, thin tan head that stays. Big coffee flavor, with a big hoppy alcohol kick, with some sweetness in the aftertaste like dark chocolate, pretty damn good plus I’m Polish and this is the best Polish beer I’ve had.
