Bottle (500ml). Deep ruby-brown, clear, with a large creamy light brown lasting head. Creamy, chocolately sweet and bitter roast aroma, very nutty, hints of coffee and licorice. Chocolate and some bitter hops and faint sour cherry in the flavour, less nutty - simpler than the aroma, but quite nice. Mouthfeel very creamy and thick - a solid sweet baltic, I think I like the Okocim a little more.

bottle. surprisingly a very cheap bottle at Frontier in Buffalo, IIRC it was about $1.80 for the half-litre. pours a very deep brown body with a slight ruby tinge and a medium tan head. the aroma is bold and beautiful. chocolate roast abound among a certain creamy milkiness. silky smooth chocolate body with toffee contribution. the alcohol component is felt throughout but doesn’t divert attention from the tastiness of this beast. very good.

My first Baltic Porter experience, thanks to MDS. Thanks a bunch Mike. My first impression of this beer was a good one. The pour was like motor oil, opaque, almost black, with just the smallest amount of light visible. The head was mocha, and was thick, with good retention. In the nose, lots was going on. Huge roasty notes filled the room. I could litetrally smell them while standing away from the glass. Upon further examination, coffee, dark chocolate, molasses, toffee and tobacco were all screaming at me. Very appealing. Silky coffee and chocolate filled my mouth, leaving tingling sensation. Burnt tobacco and roasted malt also very enjoyable. Bitter hops chocolate finish, and the alcohol was noticable as it warmed, but it was good. Definitely a sipper, and certainly worth of the average rating it has received. A very good porter, probably the best one I have had to date. This is a style I will definitely keep an eye out for . Thanks for sharing Mike!

(bottle - 500 ml) Dark brown pour with red highlights, about a quarter inch of tan head and good carbonation. Light and malty aroma with a nice backing of roasted malts and chocolate. Sweet and malty flavor, very chocolaty and roasty with a smooth finish and a slightly bitter chocolate aftertaste. Very thick, very creamy. All around awesome beer.
