p.s. this one makes me crack up the most:
Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast Decaf
for two reasons:
1.so if its DECAF then its a different beer
2.Served once at Lord Nelson Bar only
this will be the second time the shit has been served.

you might want to write papsoe or someone else with better knowledge of why these entries are separate.

yeah i see the "different recipe" changes in the discription, kinda like the recipe change in the shit.
i should have just stuck with my original comment.arguing this is pointless.most people in charge have not had it,so its not going in he database.

Gotta go with Odeed on this...I said it last time when this topic was brought up and I’ll say it again. It seems like those of you that don’t want it in the database have this otherworldly passion for keeping it out and have changed your minds, as noted in Odeed’s post, about why to keep it out. I’ve never had the beer and probably never will but I’m thoroughly jealous of those who have and would love to see some tasting notes on it...just my opinion.

I disagree. I think those do taste different. I also would think based upon the rules by which most beers go by, they should all be the same entry.
There are many many beers that I think should be separate entries but the rules say otherwise. But you know what, I still rate them anyway and just put my notes under the generic beer that exists. Lack of a separate entry does not prevent me from rating it. And continuing to rerate it as it ages. You know why I don’t have a Bigfoot rating on this site? It’s because I have ratings for so many vintages at so many points in time as they age that it just won’t fit.
I don’t care if RateBeer creates a separate entry for a beer or not. I’ll still keep my own notes for the beers I feel deserve separate ratings. That includes the vintages, the different coffees, the different dry hops, the different barrels, the different chain locations, with and without Randalls, before and after a brewer change, draft - bottle - cask, and sometimes even different batches when a small brewery has done a particularly good or bad batch.
I do not expect a site that caters to thousands of users to try and keep straight all of the different variations that I like to track. Like most things in life, it has to be simplified for the masses.

This was an experimental one off. Beer Geek Breakfast without any coffee. The base beer so to speak.
Always a pleasure to help you out of your misery Jacob

I was waiting for that. Can’t have a debate on any topic on RB without someone making a post bashing BA.
