atching In Bruges (2008); and noticed the characters are drinking Leffe and Chimay, or at least the glasses. What other movies showcase great craft beer?

Yeah, it’s pretty good when it’s fresh. I just wish I could still find it fresh in my area, it’s not so good with 6-14 months on it.

They didn’t make as much of the beer scene in Belgium as I had hoped and didn’t visit any of the "must visit" Brugge bars either. In fact it was quite disparaging about craft beers, calling them poncy or some such adjective.

Iowa loves $11 six packs of "aged" 60 minute, every hippie in Des Moines can’t pass em’ up!

Sweet! That would definitely calm some of my anxiety about taking public transit.

A recent episode of Fringe included a short scene in the The Irish Heather gastropub in Vancouver. The place doesn’t have a huge beer selection, but offers some beers from Brooklyn, Rogue, Unibroue, Fish Tale and Paddock. 10/21/2009 6:32:00 AM
