I need to live on a diet of barleywines, but that would probably kill me ! |
There's pretty strong negative correlation in my top-rated styles and the most frequent styles. I love strong beer but usually drink sessionably. |
There's an availability problem (I love proper beer, but all that seems to come here is barely-describable-as-beer craft muck). And then there's the retarded RB splitting of single styles into half a dozen sub-styles that overlap way more than they are different from each other that screws with the tallies. |
It's certainly about availability. I suspect if Imperials were more available near me, they would dominate. And equally I suspect the stout, porter dominance in my high scores would be challenged if I opted for Belgian or German bottles. I was gratified to see that I reward good bitter and mild, even if I drink too much indifferent blonde golden forgettables. |
Being a UK pub goer my most rated beers are obviously Bitter and Golds. However my travels and bottle share adventures give my top rated beers more of an international and 'stronger beer' look. |
Normally drink my favourite styles weekly, IPAs, Imperial IPAs and Imperial Stouts, often a couple of IPAs or DIPAs followed by an impy to finish of a night. Almost 900 IPAs / DIPAs and 328 imperial stouts. |
