Well the package was sent to NL, so in this case, and only this case, it's cheaper to send from NL directly.. but only because it was under 10kg. DPD NL calculates the weight while DPD Germany calculates the size. Which means a medium sized 15kg package costs only 5€ more from DE to NL than NL to NL. Which leads to the strange fact that a really small but heavy package is cheaper to send from DE to NL than NL to NL :-D
