Why would you eat raw oysters out of the gulf anyways? West coast oysters are WAY better, followed closely by new england oysters...

All the Hood Canal/Puget Sound, WA and Hog Island, CA oysters are divine. Actually just ordered 2 dozen Kushi oysters for our special tomorrow at the sushi bar.

Gulf coast oysters just sound toxic.shocked

In all seriousness, I think west coast and northeast oysters are better, but Gulf oysters are still badass. With the exception of ones that make you sick, there isn’t such thing as a bad oyster.

and besides, are we gonna get fresh west coast or NE oysters down here? unlikely, our best bet is apalachicola.

yesh! in terms of easy-to-get oysters in Florida, the apalachicola are the best. they also happen to be the oysters Riverside Cafe shucks for their sunday brunch lovelovelove

I just like oysters as is also, and that site is cool. I am looking at getting some Belons and/or Blue Points, I will let you know and we can tear them up.
