Help finding a couple Mexican beers in the Midwest

on’t laugh, yes, I am a newbie, and yes, I know the beers I am looking for are crappy Mexican beers, but I just returned from Mexico on my honeymoon, and my wife really enjoyed Sol and Modelo Light. My research so far says that Sol is not distributed in Ohio and Kentucky, and I am fairly certain that Modelo Light is not really in demand anywhere, even Mexico. I will say that the cobalt blue Modelo Light bottles were cool. If I knew a week ago that the Mrs. would still want some, I would have brought back some empty bottles and poured Natural Light in them for her, she may have never known...

Anyway, if anyone would happen to know where in the midwest I might find these beers, (I am near Columbus, OH, btw.), I would greatly appreciate the info. Thanks in advance.

Due to the large contingent of Mexican nationals in Waukegan,IL there is an Armanetti’s that has a whole display of Mexican beers that I have not seen in any other store in WI, IL, IN, or OH. But that does not mean it is worth going to said store. 5/10/2008 6:36:01 PM

At the Costco in Chicago you can get a mexican beer sampler pack that has a bunch of stuff from groupomodelo for like 13 bucks. 5/10/2008 6:45:57 PM

Drjohnrock 95:2 The Biggs supermarket near my home in the Cincinnati area has a 24 pack Mexican beer sampler that has 6 bottles each of Sol, Dos Equis Amber, Dos Equis "Special" Lager and the rancid Tecate. It appears to be a limited time thing promoted in connection with Cinco de Mayo. Other stores in the area might have it as well. I don’t know of any store in the Cincinnati area that regularly stocks Sol. Modelo Especial is common around here but I’ve never seen Modelo Light. 5/10/2008 9:05:20 PM
