Been enjoying a local cider avidly as of recent and was going to add the cidery its attached to it but didn't know what the best option would be. It's actually a winery whose owner occasionally allows two cidermakers access to his winemaking facility; the team uses the facility and releases a few bottles every couple months. So far it's alarmingly very, very small. What I got from my brief phone call with the winemaker himself, is that they probably won't expand or go elsewhere for their cider-making. This makes me think it's more or less an excitingly exclusive thing. Contract brewery, perhaps? I think that just putting it under a brewery would be a touch dishonest. Not exactly a "gypsy brewer" kind of operation, I'm believing. So that's neat. Doesn't seem like a lot of others will want to do this honestly (as everyone wants to brew at everyone's facility! It's a new trend) but I think it's cool that this small team of cider-makers' whole focus is to produce limited batches of cider from one place, a winery down the next town over. And they've all been delicate and really wonderful.
Thoughts?

I would add the winery as a cidery in the database (they have the license and all the legal requirements the actual gear). Add the explanation above in the description. List the ciders (only!) under the winery cidery but call them by whatever they sell them by on the label (so that we can find them when we look them up). Something like this: https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/domaine-leduc-piedimonte/6885/

Here's an example of a NJ winery that makes mead and cider: https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/valenzano-winery/13275/

I was thinking the same thing, however it looks like I may not have mentioned that the cidermakers actual have a brand name that they've attributed to their operation independent of the winemaking company name. I'm on the add the producer/brewer page. I couldn't find where I could add an explanation to the description but I'm sure it can be fixed.

Maybe descriptions are admin only, I can take care of it if so.

I did recently add a danish winery that also produces some cider:

I added it as "Andersen Winery", cause it is their commercial name, despite the specific products they produce.

Added this place years ago. They mainly make traditional wine, but did one "apple wine."
