Hey guys, |
In short: it is impossible. Batches 1-3 are gone for sure, there is a very small chance a couple of bottles remain of the batches 4-8. I think I may have some of the batches 9-15 but not all of them and they are pretty costly. Bottles cost 11 euros at the brewery and older batches have been sold for up to 25 euros or even more. I know for fact batch 6 was worth 28 euros back in 2013 so who knows what it’ll go for now. So unless you are prepared to empty your wallet, search very hard and probably do multiple trades, I think this can’t be done. |
Edit: unless you buy De Koningshoeven, cause there must be bottles of all batches hidden somewhere over there ;) |
Buying breweries only for the ticks, way to go |
I tried something like that at the time Batch 13 was out. Searched a lot, ordered, checked who had it on his Haves to trade for it etc, quickly I realised it’s just impossible. The first batches are gone or hidden in someone’s basement and then also forgotten. |
Go to Antwerp and spend a night with several good friends at Kulminator is your best option I think to try the most of these. |
Is this one of those where they’re all the fucking same and it’s just a ploy to get you to buy them all? Or should I do more research and not ask stupid questions? |
Too late! |
Different barrel blends each time. I got a batch 2 on a shelf in a store in Strasbourg last summer so it’s possible. Happy hunting :) |
Originally posted by yespr They still had first 10 or so last time I check. About 20 euro for most +/- 30 for the first 2. |
Originally posted by 77ships Note that there is a difference between the two quercus editions and the ’regular’ batch 1 and 2. When we were there in 2013 they did have a quercus version, but I doubt they had bottles of the regular batch 1 and 2. That said, you know the ins and outs of that place Eugene so if you say so.. |
