as in to do the weekly shop and noticed a couple of new seasonal beers for sale brewed by Huyghe/Delerium Tremens fame. One is a Wit beer Ans the other is a Cherry Wheat beer concoction. There may be more variations throughout the Uk. NI usually gets the bum deal in my experience.
I’m yet to try the Wit but the Cherry beer was pretty poor IMO.
Should be something different and a couple of rates for you guys though.

have to be careful, they may just be aliases of beers that already exist in the database.

It says that they are brewed exclusively for M&S, I would still be careful though.

According to Pete Brown’s blog, there is a new series of M&S beers with full information about the breweries etc out now. If I remember correctly, there is more than a dozen.

I’ve noticed loads of new ones in the Reading store; as well as the Belgian ones already mentioned there’s a big increase in the UK offering - including (from memory) a Robinsons one that looks like Chocolate Old Tom, and what looks like a rebadged Meantime Porter. Worth a look though.

Also, be careful if they are rebadges of beers that were already brewed for them.
For example. The Belgian Lager’s brewed by Haacht. Haacht brews/brewed Etoile d’Or, also a M&S pale lager, and there’s a chance that they just changed the name. Can’t be sure though, don’t know the ABV on the new one.

I think this is a probably a different beer as there is a significant ABV difference. How different it is I don’t know.

There is indeed quite some new M&S stuff, and generally they are average to good, especially when compared to other supermarket own brand beers.
The new M&S bottles almost all display the brewer’s name and abv, and some information on brewing style. In this way it must be possible to see whether they are new beers or just relabeled. I think these bottles are mostly new beers actually.
The M&S Meantime London Porter has an ABV of 5,5%, while the Meantime Porter (its the only other porter they brew) has 6,5% ABV. Thus, clearly different.
