I forgot to add that the Stonehenge is also a new beer.
For those wondering about the Parkeston Porter, it appears that this is actually the Staion Porter that I note Mes rated at Chelmsford or some other beer festival, but having checked out their website it is now listed as Parkeston Porter and commercial desription was the same as I recall.
I’ve been informed that the Custom Special Mild is 4.8% which is significantly stonger than the Special Mild listed on here at 4.2% I will double check that when I get the chance.
From the list if anyone is interested the following new beers I’m fairly certain are all Golden there are one or two that I’m not quite 100% on but I reckon that they will be.
Hadrian&Border – Newcastle upon Tyne - Newcastle Pioneer - 4.30%
Castle Rock, Nottingham, Notts - Bumble Bee - 4.50%
Mighty Oak - Maldon Essex - Good Shed Buffer Ale - 4.2%
Dark Star – Haywards Heath West Sussex - Hylder Bonde - 4.20%
Breconshire, Brecon, Powys - Ysbrid y Ddraig - 5.50%
Leeds - Leeds West Yorks - Samba - 3.70%
Stonehenge– Netheravon, Wilts - Eye Opener - 4.50%
Hornbeam – Manchester - Top Hop 4.20%
This one is a Dark and I think a Mild (not 100%)
Bowmore - Droxford, Hamps - Maximus - 3.5%

I also forgot to mention Casey’s IPA will also be available at Merton. It will be bottled and I think we are aiming on 80 bottles being available, is that right Casey? Knowing Casey’s beers very well there’s a fair chance that it could be a contender for beer of the festival

Ok more updates on the beer, cider and perry front. In fact this should be the last of the updates unless anything goes ’Pete Tong’
Loz and I have been galavanting off to deepest darkest Gloucestershire over the weekend and have picked up the following. I have got the abv’s of these but the details are currently on Loz’s laptop.
Minchews - Dabinett Cider
Minchews - Stinking Bishop Perry
Victor Holders, Lower Farm Oxenden- Butts Perry 1
Victor Holders, Lower Farm Oxenden- Butts Perry 2
Rockingham Forest - Welland Valley Special
The two perries mentioned from Victor Holders whilst pretty much the same are in different casks one is definately Islay the other isn’t and whilst he was’nt totally sure he did think that they were from different orchards, suffice to say they taste very different. It was tricky to pick out an aroma when we were stood in sheep shit but there was no denying one had a smokines to it.
Also Bob has now got me a Welland Valley Special Cider from Rockingham Forest this replaces the Windmill Cider from Daventry.
Finally on the beer front the Roosters Outlaw beer is
Roosters, Outlaw Range - Wild Mule

I’m booked in for Friday evening and all day Saturday, the joys of camping. Weather permitting, I may try and set up an outside Ratebeer chill area on the Saturday, with camping tables, Hook Norton Sun Brolly and a few chairs, do you think there will be space Fin?

Hi Glen,
I’m sure there’ll be space Glen, and anyway as you are stopping for the weekend I’m sure that you can get up, claim your pitch, and dig in for the day, now Glen I don’t want to see you laying out towels and sun loungers and claiming a vast area this isn’t Benidorm, and no hankies on heads and union jack shorts please.
Progress report: We put most marquees up last night, first delivery of beer turned up yesterday (all present and correct phew...) second delivery comes in later today. Programme coming along fine, scaffolding and air conditioning units come in today. Lets pray for some sunshine.
