Anyone that says microwaving anything is best is stupid. There’s a lot more to cooking than giving your guests cancer. 9/23/2009 8:13:47 PM

I prefer to chuck it in a pot of boiling water, when the lobster is being cooked inside the microwave. Make sure to get a long enough cord. thumbs up

Actually, the thread’s forum gave me a thought. If microwaved lobster does taste better than boiled or steamed, how would cooking it with beer work? Microwaved beer? Nooo. shocked 9/24/2009 4:34:53 AM

When I was outside of Boston, I went to a little shack that boiled it ocean water. They pumped the water in and boiled in it. I thought it was incredible. Best lobster I’ve ever had. 9/24/2009 7:11:06 AM

This is the only way we cooked it in Nova Scotia.

I would think that m/w a lobster would make it tough as shoe leather.
And for the people who boil them, you’re doing it wrong.
You’re supposed to steam shellfish, not boil it.
Boiling it makes it spongy, waterlogged, bland, and nasty.
