Blue Blaze Brewing is having their grand opening June 25. Looks like they are located about a mile northwest of downtown. According to the article, they "will put out a lineup of beers primarily from three different brewing traditions — American, English and German — but all focused on approachability and balance."

Thirsty Nomad opened their doors in late July. According to the article below, this steampunk brewery will "offer a broad selection with styles that fall into a few categories (light yellow and fizzy; dark and malty; browns or ambers; and hoppier styles)"

And coming soon, Charlotte will have it’s 2nd cidery. GoodRoad Ciderworks expects to open in the fall. These guys are a couple doors down from Sugar Creek Brewing and a block away from Olde Mecklenburg. I really look forward to trying this place, as it will also be the first place in Charlotte to produce meads.

Lenny Boy is having it’s grand opening at it’s new, larger location (3000 S. Tryon St) this weekend. The new location is located very close to Triple C and only about 1/2 mile from the old location.

I’ve never been a huge Lenny Boy fan, but I’ve been meaning to check them out again. Special beers on tap for the Grand Opening include a berliner weiss with NC muscadine grapes and an bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.
