Finally, I do apologise for the hassle this thread has caused to Urbain. It was never intended. I hope that you’ll still let us visit when we are over for Zythos in March.

Stop apologizing, everybody knows about now you have been a very bad boy...shocked On the other hand I must say this thread did not cause me any hassle, it informed me, and that what’s it is all about. The day I am on an island without the possibility of being informed or getting all the information I need in favour of customers, fans, and friends, that will be the day it is over for Struise.

If you come to the pre-zbf, I might forgive you... thumbs up Cheers, Urbain

The Cad shall also be there! So bring some whisky glasses!

I am waiting to hear from that Struise-hating guy ... "they beer are to sweet!"

ISO - drool.

Are you talking about westernfront?
I just checked and that whiny dude still has yet to rate anything.
What a freakin guy, maybe he just hates "Belgium" beer.

Let’s please watch the calling out...and get this back on track.

That said - is this being bottled?

Im sure that it will be appearing in a bottle soon. Perhaps Urbain or Carlo can confirm?

Another impy stout in the top 50? Yes, but this one really IS outstanding. Literally jaw dropping.

Never apologize to a hater for loving imperial stouts... or fruit beers... or pale lagers for that matter.

Most of the imperial stouts in the Top 50 are outstanding... most beers, of any style, in the Top 50 are outstanding... it’s why they are in the Top 50.

You can already do that. Go to the top 50 and customize it to your liking. This is what the top 50 looks like with a minimum of 200 ratings:

But not the >>default<<setting !
Cheers,

This has already been debated to no end! The cut off limit for making the top 50 is there to prevent fraud. The Bayesian weightings are there to assure that beers with few number of ratings will need to have extremely high ratings to get into the top 50, and it is a much better tool for doing this than the cutoff limit.

with this knowledge out there tho there is potential for favoritism amongst voters who want to get a beer into the top 50 so not only will they uprate it, but they’ll uprate the hell out of it to get past the Bayesian weightings

it just makes sense to me that there should be a larger sample size to determine the best beers in the world than 10. that’s pretty much my only gripe with it
