I guess you are probably right, strictly taken I guess it should not be on the site yet. But where does one start? We take quality samples from time to time, share it with professional people and friends, just to know what they think about that beer at that time. Naturally we cannot help some are so enthusiastic about a brand, they launch reviews or ratings before actual bottling, both negative or positive.
I really would not mind that all those ratings would be erased, then again I don’t know if all those raters would be happy. They sampled a brand, at a certain time, and judged it, good or bad... Cheers, Urbain

It starts when the beer is available for sale to the public.

yup, according to the ratebeer bylaws,a beer needs to be "commercially available" before it can even be rated.so if this isnt the case with these two.then they (and any others)should be erased completely.

yeah well a bunch of people were not happy when a certain beer was not only knocked out of the top spot in the top 50.but deleted from the database altogether.
but hey,rules are rules right?

Agreed. This and dirty horse are no different from the ratings of The Shit that got nuked. If that was nuked, both of these should be nuked since they are not commercially available beers.

Wasn’t the Dirty Horse on tap at The White Horse? I know we had a sample when visiting London, Urbain, but I don’t know if they actually sold the cask. If they did, it’s commercial. Doesn’t matter if it’s only part of a batch or a hole batch that is commercial available.
