True about IPAs. Other styes then, to get a feel for how hard it is to pick out one from the other. 11/3/2009 10:06:37 AM

Yeah, I think we could easily do saison, American strong ale, Belgian strong ale, and probably something like hefeweizens. I think we’ll get together to do this fairly regularly. It was very fun. 11/3/2009 10:09:08 AM

It’d be hard to replicate the effect of using that "ringer" (because you guys didn’t know about it until afterwards, right?), but I still want to get a group together and try this same line-up.

Let’s do it... this is essentially exactly what I wanted to do a couple months back but have been too busy to organize... perhaps in December (or later this month)

Yes, very fun! Perhaps because the odds are totally against you. If these are independent events... 1/9 * 1/9 * 1/9 ........

Very cool indeedcheers!

We tried having one of our big sour tasting all blind but that didn’t work out too good. These are always fun and give some surprising results.

Another cool one would be Krieks(Lou Pepe, 3 Fontinen, De Ranke, etc...) or Framboise... might be more difficult to come across enough of them, but it would be cool to see how they would end up.

It was awesome! My number one was a tie between Drie Fontenein and Boon. I look forward to more formal blind tastings in the future! 11/3/2009 10:35:01 AM
