Old First Ward Brewing to begin brewing and serving beers by Christmas time.

I spoke to Bill Metzger the other night and he was pretty sure that they will start pumping out their in house beers within the next month or so. He will be adding another tap station to accommodate the beer but will not be adding any additional taps, it will be just doubling up on his current lines. Bill stated that whatever is not being used by his beer taps will still be occupied by guest taps and staying with the NY theme.

Personally, I am excited about this because Buffalo is starting to finally catch up with the rest of the country with our own local beers being produced...just hope that the beer is of decent quality.

I don’t consider Blue a guest Beer . . . And where is Community over there ? Yea, this is a critique.

Yeah, we’re on tap there relatively frequently. Bill pretty much only buys the IPA, so if we’re out of IPA (which happens occasionally due to hop shortages - I’m working on it) they won’t have us on tap.

Update (especially to any mug holders): I am at McCarthys and there was a note in my mug tonight which reads:

Brewmaster Matt Conron has brewer an oatmeal stout, a Bavarian style hefeweizen and an American Pale Ale. So this means...you guessed it...its party time! As a Founder, you get first taste of the beers. That first tasting will be held Sunday Jan 26th from 2-6pm. We will have a small spread out for you and full 21 ounce pours for only $2. Only Founders will be allowed to attend the event as a thanks for your helping us make this dream a reality. Come on down and check out the beers.

...and Ill be out of town :( .... but their beers are finally here :)
