Joey, you pay for one admission, which gets you in both days. The VIP thing "only" gets you in early on Friday, which means you can drink in a more relaxed environment before the masses get in and have right of first refusal for everything they’ll have. I’d say it’s usually worth it, if you can get the time off work with no problem. But it’s hardly necessary. There are PLENTY of opportunities to indulge, and last year’s regular festival list read like a "VIP" list anyway.

So it’s $40 for the VIP thing (and you get in at the regular time on Saturday-- the VIP thing affords you no benefit as compared to the "regular" attendees on Saturday), or $30 for the non-VIP thing. Both are sterling deals, as it’s a great festival with a ton of great beers.

Plus you get to hang out with Chris, who is a cool cat, and have fun with great RBeerians from around the country and county.

Thanks Chris--this was the post that answered pretty well all my questions about the fest. I’ll have to check and see if the gf wants to come. . . .

Does anybody ever get a hotel down there, or do they just crash wetherel’s place? evil grin

I always get a room at the motel 6 down the road, there is also a extended stay with bigger rooms (better for splitting). I wish that motel 6 had a frequent stayer program or a punch card or something.

The nice thing about the VIP session is you can take the Coaster up and back and be outta there before it is real crowded. 11/2/2009 12:03:31 PM

Is it just me or are these events getting more expensive and stingy? Now it’s $30 for 6 tasters. Didn’t it used to be at least 10 tasters for $30? When I saw 6, made me wonder... 11/2/2009 4:20:56 PM

If I go this year, I have to figure out a better way to pace myself. All my soberness was drained in 2 hours. 11/2/2009 5:12:11 PM
