A lot of new-ish breweries in LA/OC and I have no connections in San Diego. I also think the west coast may be a non-starter for a lot of people, too. Two straight years of RBWG/RB Best in California, RBSG in Portland in 2015, and RBSG 2017 in Idaho is a lot of western US focused events.

I have contacts at Ballast Point and Karl Strauss, both of which would probably have the space to host a welcome dinner or something like that.

So I ended up spending 4 of the last 8 weeks in Italy, 1 week in Colorado, 1 week in LA and 1 week in DC, so I have not been able to really put anything together. At this point anything I throw together would not include any commitments from breweries, etc. I have some good contacts and continue to meet people in the local industry so I hope to put something together for an upcoming gathering, but not the next one.
