Beers on the bus -

There should be somewhere around 22-28 people on board the bus that day, so there’ll be plenty of room to party in comfort (max. capacity is 47). And yes, there’s a turlet.

The is an unwritten rule with bus drivers- no dropping duces in the bus bathroom.

What’s the best way to get from the airport to Motel 6 Hotel Circle if I’m not renting a car? I’m guessing I’ll just bite the bullet and get a cab but if there are cheaper options, I’d like to know. Thanks 7/30/2008 11:25:21 PM

Our bus driver on Friday and Sunday (but not Saturday-- different bus service, different driver) has offered to put together some ice and buckets for us so that we can chill some beers on the bus and have some fun while we’re roving from stop to stop, if we please.

now will we be able to put/leave our beer on the bus sat. for the grand tasting sat. night?
sorry to ask so many questions chris.

p.s.
stoked about the b.p. keg on the bus friday!

There should be shuttles that run from the airport to Motel 6. I thought I mentioned that a long time ago, but if not, sorry. I don’t know which specific places would have a shuttle or how any of that works, but here are some of the closest places to the Motel 6, for you guys to try to call to work out some shuttles, if they have them.

Premier Inn (619) 291-8252
Comfort Inn (619) 291-7700
Red Lion Hanalei Hotel (619) 297-1101

The coach buses will have undercarriage storage bays for shitloads of beer (/luggage/etc.). You load up when you get picked up, you leave it on the bus, and you hope it doesn’t get too hot (the weather looks like high of 75-ish, low of 65-ish, so I’m not that worried). You unload when we get to Motel 6-Carlsbad. Or I guess we could possibly be dropped off (additionally) at Port-Carlsbad so people can unload their "freight" there, but we haven’t worked that out yet. Shouldn’t be a big deal.

I’m happy to donate my $20 to incidentals like ice, water, glassware, snacks, or anything else you guys need it for. And if you don’t need it for anything, buy yourselves a beer. Thanks again for all the hard work that you guys have put into this!

We appreciate that gesture. Chris and I have both worked extremely hard, but it will all be worth if you guys have a great time - and I’m sure you will. See you guys on Friday and gentlemen, start your livers! cheers!
