Side Project Entry Question

Are the different blends of Marietta and Biere de Pays lumped under the main entry or should I create a new entry for each blend?

I just head BdP blend 4 and Marietta Ave blend 2. Do these get a new RB entry or no?

Yeah, those have been been lumped into the main entry of each. Those are very similar and believe they use the same recipes with slight variations of what barrels they are from and those aren’t disclosed anywhere I’ve seen to really differentiate them.

Blends from Side Project that do get separate entries are those that use different base beers for each blend (Merci, Pulling Nails, etc) or those that disclose they differences in the bases and barrels used (Derivation).

Side topic. I remember coming to the Cellar the first time and splurging on a 750mL bottle of Unlabeled batch #1 for $20. This time the cheapest bottle was a a 375mL Unlabeled Batch #3 for $20.

That was officially my last Side Project bottle purchase at the Cellar.

I feel your pain there for sure. I went by to get the Pinot Barrel Saison du Fermier and planned on drinking the Unlabeled beer..... until I saw the price, and just got my bottle to go and left. I think their beers are fantastic, but just can’t rationalize paying the price most of the time. Think the last bottle of Derivation (double barrel) was going for in-house consumption only for $60/750 ml. They’ve got people spending, so they’ve got their market, just out-pricing a lot of us.
