Fried pickles with ANYTHING!
Fried pickles are very good with a nice pilsner or altbier.
I had a few gueuse lambics with some Middle Eastern food from Alladdins (namely a sfiah(?) and stuffed grape leaves) and they did not like each other and staged a battle of Good vs. Evil in my stomache.
Cantillon Kriek and spaghetti (with tomato sauce) didn’t work at all. I didn’t expect a good pairing, but I didn’t expect not to be able to drink the beer till I was done eating!
