A couple years back I was at one of my local stores and they had a speedway and a couple other out of market beers behind the counter. Apparently one of the employees got them in a trade. When I asked about them he gladly popped the speedway stout and shared it with me! That was my first experience with Speedway and I loved it

If you’re not going to sell something, don’t put it on the shelf with a price tag! The Blue Max, which is otherwise a great location, is notorious for having amazing bottles of scotch that are not for sale. But at least they have the courtesy to replace the price tags with clearly labeled "Not for Sale" signs. The guy at K-7 seems to be an ass.

$3 samples in NYC last Sunday at Studio Square. (I love living in NYC). Plus JoeMcPhee got me mine! I’ve tried that stuff twice, and both times were free.

Theres just too many reasons why he didnt sell it to you to write them all down. Iv been burned before by many people, many legendary folks to us, who just wont sell me things even though the table next to me has one.
What can i do? Nothing. There will be another chance.

We have old bottles of Blåbær, Pannepot, Mikkeller etc. on display behind the counter that is not for sale. Sort of like a beer museum. I hope my store doesn’t get a bad rating for that.....

??? I never tried to buy anything! Mostly because he did the proper thing - items that aren’t for sale were labeled as such.
