y brother, ericandersnavy, calls me up earlier to ask if I ever had an Avery Twelve...I said no, and he said that this small beer store in Denton, TX, Metzlers, had 2 bottles just sitting there, with dust on them....That thing has been retired for a while now....That got me thinking about who else has just wandered into a store and found a retired or out of place beer just sitting there waiting to be purchased....

Almost 2 weeks ago, I wandered into a beer store and found a louisiana beer called "Big Easy"....turns out they only had 3 samples given to them.....I bought one....Decient beer, only had 4 ratings before I got to it.....The main beer store I go to, Kegs & Barrels, had 1 six pack given to them....I bought it....will make for some good beer trade.... 7/3/2008 10:43:57 PM

Sam Adams continues to release vintages every once in a while. They must have made a ton of the 97, seen faltering demand, and decided to be smart and cellar it to keep people interested. It sells fairly quickly now when it shows up.
