Yeah, so tonight I was supposed to reach 6000. Here I stand, with witnesses, that I was at 5990 a couple of hours ago. With 5 rates in the backlog. And 5 ratings in the fridge. I add my backlog when I get back home. And ratebeer puts me at 5986. |
A thought though... is the mobile website counting ticks along with rates, while the regular isn't? Would explain it... exactly 9 rates. |
Clearly not testing stuff properly. |
Originally posted by Marko I believe this is the explanation Marko. See JoeT's Friday missive. |
Originally posted by Marko yes, the mobile page merges those (probably for lack of space). The forums also merged those until a couple of hours ago. |
Last night and this morning ticks were being counted in the total ratings number on the webpage. It looks like they have been removed from the total now. |
Ya, sorry for a bit of mildly drunk hysteria. |
This is not fucking funny could be a “beer is serious” meme |

I just noticed that ticks is now a stat, and it is added to your overall score when looking at the top users. But, some of those ticks point to aliased beers, for which I've provided a review. So in the oveall score, I'm getting credit for the same beer twice..... |
Originally posted by stevoj Ticks do not count toward a beer's average, so you're all good, unless something wacky happened while I was changing the oil on the server. Unless anyone objects, I'll remove all ticks for aliases, next week. |
