Tuneman07 :0 I just went to a tasting awhile back and tried out the new Goose Island line of beers- I loved the Sofie but when I went to the store to pick up a few I saw the ridiculous 12 dollar price tag for a 22 ounce. I loved the beer but that is just beyond what I want to spend.

Other than that I don’t mind dropping 20 bucks on a 12er of something good- think what you pay at the bar for a bud light.

I love the beer, but if the industry doesn’t correct it self, price wise, well let the chips fall where they may..... 11/6/2009 4:09:55 PM

I believe it will.

I just got home after buying a case of a variety of beers. Total Wine. I felt a spent too much money. What got me thinking about it was they had just received Brooklyn Chocolate Stout. Now in a 4 pack. $7.99. Last year a 6 pack was $9.99. Four packs are just a way of charging more. I worked the Northern VA Brewfest last week and one of the distributors made the comment that the retailers were charging too much. He is worried that it’s going to start hurting sales. I agree.

I think it’s taken directly from a Alabama voting discussion. Other representatives from the meeting claim that the bill is designed to bring in more foreign beer and sell it to minors. It’s amazing what some of these guys will say. 11/6/2009 5:24:37 PM

I cant say $8 for a 4-pack of Brooklyn BCS is unfair...sure its more per beer than what it was...but at $2 each for a 10% beer...id say thats pretty good...like buying 8 macros that taste alot better.
