I am in Memphis right now and it sucks pretty hard craft beer wise. Only one brewpub in a city this size is insane. El Paso has more than that.
LA does blow for the size and location of the town. How can you be the 2nd largest US city and be in between SF and SD and offer so little. You can getter a better west coast selection in Denver than you can get in LA.

Damn you! I want to move back to San Diego... But, I won’t. I will never... for many reasons unrelated to beer. My life does not revolve around beer, unfortunately... Unfortunately, but if I had the money, then perhaps.

The brewery at Main Street Station is good, btw. If you’re traveling, you want to hit the old strip and visit. In the past two years, I never had an IPA that wasn’t less than decent. But I’m a hop-head.

Actually looking at this list of the 61 biggest cities, Los Angeles would be one of the top cities for beers, although being one of the least populous ones:

Of the 29 cities on the list I’ve visited, I’d rate LA behind only Tokyo and Buenos Aires, and perhaps Yokohama and London. Dhaka and Riyadh are probably the worst of the 29 I’ve had the misfortune to finding myself in.
