Nice looking pub, friendly staff, average beers. Tasting tray of 9 brews. I bought a glass but it broke on my flight home.

Don’t bother,as soon as I got there the barman only wanted to try and sell overpriced wine at a discount. The 4 beers Ihad,Polar Bear,Brown Bear ale,Golden vanilla and valencia wheat were very average, also the place is over priced.

I visited this place during RBSG 2009 with kp and beastiefan2k. good ambiance, ok beer. Nothing bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here again.

This is pretty much the kind of bar I dislike. A rather snobbish Yuppie hangout, long, darkish, modern. The service was correct, not particularly caring, but showing up when we wanted. As far as the beers are concerned, there were quite a few of them, but the 2 we tried were considerably under average, I wish I’d feel upon some of the higher rated stuff, but it was simply not the case. I ad eaten already, but tried a dessert and this was rather average as well for the 7 bucks it costed. The beer was also fairly expensive. Like most other SF brewpubs, this did not quite meet my expectations.

Very lounge-y atmosphere. The music, the decor, everything was a bit swanky. There’s a dance/night club next door which may contribute to the whole vibe. Nice looking place, with brick wall exposure, it’s just not my style. The bartender was friendly. The sampler came on a laminated sheet indicating which beer was which. They all sucked! The beers here were really bad. Just about everyone had diacetyl and was just crappy. More of a trendy night lounge than a brewpub.

For the awkward weekend trip out I arrive here early for a dinner with my wife 2 young children and my parents. The seating arrangements were difficult but worked for us. The food was a bit over the top for a beer place but what came out was very good. The beer on the otherhand was sub-par on most accounts with very little oomf to any but the barleywine which was very good in my opinion. The service was ho-hum but we were there when the door first opened for dinner. I would go back for the food and the special seasonal beers, but otherwise not a big draw for me.

Random SF crowd, the menu was small but the food was pretty good but not pub food in any way. The beer was pretty good, there was that element of fear in not making any style too over the top, but that is pretty common. Had a cask conditioned ale I somehow failed to taste, but points for having it at least. Not the place to go get plastered at, but fun with the girlfriend.

Not really impressed at all. It wants to be a hip, trendy place but doesn’t live up to it. There’s a pretty wide selection of beers, but most didn’t do too much for me. And the food? We had a paella that couldn’t really be called that by any stretch of the imagination. We had a cheese tray with just a few thin slices of average cheesefor an incredible price considering... I’m sure it won’t be on my list next time I’m in search of beer in SF.

The food here is amazing! Who woulda thunk? Spanish food and beer - but it works so fricken well. Yeah, its a trendy SF place, but the keyword here is San Franciscan. That means its pretty low key and casual. Kids don’t do so well here, but any other situation works.
