This is a well done Scotch Ale. Beautiful mahogany color with a deep ruby overtone. Sweet, malted barley aroma. Certainly a "roasted chocolate" flavor, hints of toffee and a very slight taste of sweet fruit. Buoyant on the palate.

Bouteille de 341ml, 2,69$ chez grand duc, bière orangée trouble, peu de mousse, nez discret avec une pointe de levure, bouche agréable, épicée, longue. correct comme bière, l’étiquette est affreuse par contre.

33 cl bottle from Fontana Nesbru. Pours dark brown with a large head. Aroma of sweet malt. Boring flavor with no bitterness. Watery.

Bottle, bought @ In de Wildeman, Amsterdam.
Pours muddy golden with a lovely, small, creamy, egg-white head. Aroma is sweet, grainy, yeast, sweetness, oranges. Light banana and apple zest. Medium mouthfeel, nice creamy. Flavour is sweet, grainy, oranges, yeast, lemons, vinious, apple. Lovely tripel.
 Great Lakes Glockenspiel Weizenbock 3.6Svesse  
(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Deep amber colour with huge, frothy, beige head. Clear. Fruity, malty, slightly toasty nose with notes of orange, caramel, chocolate and lots of red berries. Rather toned down wheat character. Fruity, malty taste with chocolate, raisins and along come the characteristic wheat flavours with banana and clove. Fairly sweet and more than full bodied. A bit different, but tasty and nice.

Boks 0,5l kjøpt på Systembolaget i Kiruna og delt med Rune på Elsas Skibotn 31 Okt 09. Lys gylden på farge. Skum som flater nesten helt ut. Svakt maltig aroma. Smaken er søt malt. Litt gress i ettersmaken. Maltig helhetsinntrykk.
 Town Hall Masala Mama IPA 3.8joechristenson  
Quite a pleasant beer. The bartender made sure to mention this is their most popular style. Deep golden amber color with a small head, aroma has strong floral and citrus tones. Huge grapefruit flavor, definite citrus. Sits quick on the tongue and fades nicely. Very drinkable.
 De Lepelaer Beemster Bock Bock 2.5thewolf  
Tap @ The Dutch Bockbier Festival, 2009.
Pours nice hazy, deep chestnut with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma has apples, cucumber, softly roasted. Soft carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is really weird. Cucumber, apples, sweet, lightly roasted. Still fairly drinkable.
 Great Lakes Eliot Ness 3.5Svesse  
(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with caramel, toasted grain, apricots and orange peel. Malty taste with notes of toasty grain, caramel, a touch of orange and apricots. Turning into a bready finish with a mild, spicy bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty beer.

Flaske 0,33l delt med CinnamonGirl, JanErik og Rune på Elsas Skibotn 30 Okt 09. Lys gylden på farge med et høyt kremaktig skum. Maltig aroma. Svakt fruktig smak. Søtlig ettersmak.

Bottle, bought @ Vinspecialisten, Kolding Storcenter.
Pours lovely deep ruby red with a medium, frothy, off-white head. Fat caramel malt aroma, light flowery, some roasted notes. Medium carbonation, fine dryish mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, caramel, light pepper, chcolate and lightly roasted. Quite drinkable.
 Ølfabrikken Jule Ale (Canned version) 2.5rane  
Can. Amber with medium dense white head. Sweet malty aroma with a little hopps. Taste sweet malty, quite thin body and gets a little cloying. A quite ordinary christmas brew.
 Pinkus Jubilate Bier 3.5Allen  
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. Nut brown with a decent beige head. Inviting fruity malty aroma with hints of candy, vanilla, smoke, papaya, walnut, mocha, fantastic hops and tobacco. Nice astringence, faint acidity in the taste. Remarkably dry. Mediocre sticky spotty lacework. Great malt profile. Medium bodied. Smoky finish. Definetely a very interesting, pleasant beer with plenty of character. Thanks a lot pivnizub!
 Town Hall West Bank Pub Ale 2.8joechristenson  
Strong hop aroma, though not bold. A good amber color with deep orange tones. Soft on the palate, smooth, strong up front, lighter on the finish. Somewhat grassy hops, but there is a toasted malt quality. Easy drinking -- definitely a "session beer" as they say.
 Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout Highland Edition 3.9KnutAlbert  
Bottle at home. Feels more soft and round than the regular Imperial Stout, with a background of wood and whisky. Nice warm finish. Well balanced, you can not pick out any strong character from a particular type of whisky. Lovely beer for sipping, long spicy aftertaste ending up with a bit of smoke.
