| | | | Budweiser Select 55 | 0.6 | HonkeyBra | | | Light yellow pour with odd bubbles on the top. Aroma of seltzer? Some flabby corn? Flavor is almost nothing. Just a bit of corn. Very fizzy pour. Finishes a bit like skim milk. | | | | Victoria Bitter | 0.9 | floydian1 | | | Haven’t tried a VB for years and saw a cheap 250ml "mini stubby" at Dan Murphy’s so I purchased one for a laugh...It’s still pretty awful. Australia’s best selling beer and certainly not a proper bitter! Pours piss yellow with a small white head. Dreadful soapy aromas of skunky chemicals with sweet grainy malts. Tastes of sweetcorn syrup with an unclean harsh metallic quality. No proper hop presence to speak of. Abrupt dry finish. Light-medium bodied with a thin mouthfeel. Even 4X is better.
| | | | Bards Tale Dragons Gold | 0.5 | Toxygen | | (br-btl bk-lbl with wood and a gold dragon, "made from whole grain sorghum", 4.7%)
lct-cpr, no-head, non-eff, med-body, §co2.
iced-tea-powder §sherry aroma.
white-vinegar T1T2 astringent ^odd-fruity(passion-fruit?) T3.
bad bottle or bad idea? not sure but other raters agree with low rating and weird flavors. | | | | Budweiser Select 55 | 0.5 | zombywoof | | | Oh sweet Jesus this is bad. Total lack of anything resembling a beer flavor. Makes Michelob Ultra seem like Guiness Stout. Only redeeming factor is the calorie count because it sure ain’t the taste. | | | | Molson Canadian | 0.8 | Toxygen | | (gr-btl gl-lbl, 6 pack)
pale, watery, ^co2, light body, more like bad champagne than decent beer, not just bland but had a definite bad(adjunct or fusel) flavor. | | | | Störtebeker 1402 N/A | 0.9 | rickgordon | | | Bottled.
Pale yellow colour with airy head. Dough and cooked vegetables in aroma. Lifeless, papery maltiness and unnecessarily sweet. Cereal and dms is obvious, so is the cooked cauliflower. Little grassy hops. No bitterness. | | | | Miller Genuine Draft Light 64 (MGD Light 64) | 0.5 | JoeMcPhee | | | Very pale off-clear beer. Fast-fading white head. Aroma is of dirty dishwater and the flavour is completely non-existant. What a waste of bottles. | | | | Biere Des Moulins | 0.9 | DeanF | | | Smells like unwashed armpits and dirty socks, looks like pee with some foam like pee. Tastes like tin and dirt. I expected this to be bad and was definitely not disappointed. | | | | Naale 10P | 0.9 | Beershine | | | Can, acquired in Siem Reap. If I could give it a 0 for appearance I would, it’s a horrid looking beverage. Looks like your pee when you are dehydrated--cloudy, yellow, flat. Smells and tastes utterly unlike beer. Really hard to peg the aromas and flavors. Sweet for sure, maybe like rice polished with chemicals. It’s almost intriguing, and watery enough for the badness to be manageable. | | | | Lion Imperial Pilsner (Lager) | 0.7 | Toxygen | | (br-btl bk/gl-lbl, Imperial Lager, 8%)
lct-stw, no head, med-light-body, med-high-co2.
aroma: ^strange, concord-grape, sweet-pepper-jelly.
flavor: §pale-malt, ^corn-liquer, ^fusel-alchl(biodiesel / gasoline).
very strange green-pepper or tomato-vine aftertaste, is there any such thing as cheap noble hop flavor additive concentrate? i think they spilled a bit extra into the beer. | | | | Kirin Bar Beer | 0.8 | oh6gdx | | | Canned (Thank you Sir Phil the Fat). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is stomach acids, puke, some acidic maizeish strange sweetness. Flavour is strawberries, some acidic notes, maizeish sweetness as well as some vegetables. Watery and not very pleasant. | | | | Special Beer | 0.9 | Beershine | | | Can. Yellow with green tint. Glassy with no head. Sawdust, more so than the regular Phnom Penh beer. Bland husky aroma. Slick, the palate of slurry. Sourness, with some grain flavors. Pretty bad! | | | | Ben Thanh Bia | 0.8 | Beershine | | | Can, as "special quality lager." Pale yellow with greenish tint. Smells like glue. Sticky palate with medium carbonation. Tastes like mineral water and glue but still tastes better than it smells. | | | | BrewDog Hardcore IPA | 0.9 | chronictonic | | | Batch 207 2/2/2010 - smells like bad Homebrew from 3’ away. Taste is no better. $8.99 down the drain - literally. | |

and a nice herbal hoppy presence in the aroma. Soft hay and grains greet the tongue, followed by a touch of honeybread and earthy hops right along side it; finish is a bit on the hoppy side. Clean, crisp, but still full of flavor; both malt and hops are strong,
