Dark amber in color... Aroma of candi sugar and alcohol... Flavor is sweet of candi sugar but not terribly complex... Alcohol content is noticeable but the sweetness helps conceal it... Decent but not the best for its genre

Golden color with a tiny white head that disappears rapidly to leave scant bubbles and great lacing. Aroma of freshly rising bread dough. Flavor begins with orange peel and coriander, progresses to a nice sourness and finishing with a bitter tone. Great body, almost chewy. A wonderful brew, especially on cask.

Very nice balance of alcohol, malts, and hops. This beer hits a good Belgain Abbey blonde. Nice orange, citruis, and bittering hops. Yeast flavors are like a heffeweizen.

Pours a copper amber color, nice white head. A sweet yeast aroma. Flavor is a lot of malt with a very distinct bitterness. This beer isn’t overly yeasty, strikes a good balance with the malts.

0.75l - Red/orange liquid, no head, sour nose. Butterscotch on the palate, liked it better as it warmed. Not a miss but not a hit either.

6th July 2008. Smooth malty beer - no bitterness at all. Very dry aromatic finish. Not a bad Belgian style beer but otherwise unremarkable.

’09 bottle thanks to KGAGNE (BA)!
Hazy copper-tea color, light beige bubbly head. Nose has light alcohol, light sugar and dried fruit, a hint of overly-sweet honey, and dusty wood, like a Builder Square lumber aisle. Sugary flavor, still bearing the Allagash yeast mark. Sticky, lightly alcoholic, lots of date and apple throughout the flavor. Decent but not entirely impressive.

draft: cloudy dark amber, clove and banana aroma, spicy taste with some citrus, fairly carbonated
