Ibrew2or3 (1925), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours very pale gold to straw with wafer thin bright white head. The aroma is nice thick malt sweetness, grainy malts and corn. The taste is sweet sugary flavor notes with mild corn and faint grain in the background. The finish is thin and watery with a hint of metal. sebletitje (579), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 31, 2008 courtesy of ibrew2or3.
Some shaman did put a spell on this African brew ... well it actually made the beer a lot more enjoyable than their carribean counterparts.
Although not the best, the beer remained drinkable.
Aroma and taste are the same. Loaded with grains, leaves a metalic aftertaste.
Add something of corn with very light sweetness. Hard to make this beer look better than what it is. fishingnet (928), Brandon, Florida, USA Oct 29, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of corn light malt, and hay. Taste is the same as aroma. Thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. At least I got to try a beer from Ethiopia. Sparky27 (717), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 15, 2008 Bottle courtesy of SoLan. Pours a slightly hazing yellow with a one finger snow white head that faded fast into a soapy layer. Nose is mainly sweet malt and some faint hops. Taste is sweet malt, honey, light hops and some earthiness in the finish. Lighter, prickly mouth feel. Not very good, but I can check Ethiopia off my list now. Thanks Alan! Tmoney99 (3740), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 6, 2008 Bottle at the Rendezvous, St. Augustine, FL. Poured clear straw color with an average frotthy white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. Another below average beer from this country.
