Glouglouburp (2157), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 29, 2008 In short: A faithful but very soft example of the style
How: Tap at brewpub. Fresh first batch ever (2008)
The look: Cloudy brown body topped by an off-white ring of foam
In long: Nose of toasted whole-wheat bread. Body is soft, carbonation is soft, taste is soft, soft watery and watery toffee flavours, light soft overripe bananas presence, soft woody notes taking the form of tree bark in the finish. Drinkable for sure, not offensive at all, but just very soft and overall a bit bland. As soft as a baby bottom. A baby bottom that has been tenderised after being marinated and pounded for half and hour. Humm, sounds delicious. More so than the beer. Rastacouere (5421), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 6, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Rather neutral ale aimed at drinkability.

I like:
A beer to be drank by the pint, but not one to think about too much. Interesting toasty aspirations, very soft bodied, low carbonation for a weizen.

I dislike:
Sweet example, but the usual Bedondaine curvy body is absent. Thin and not particularly interesting, nor fresh wheat flavours. Not particularly expressive yeastiness though banana bread flavours manage to show themselves among the soft, yet dominant toast character. Not much head. rodenbach99 (504), Longueuil, Quebec, Canada Oct 4, 2008 en fût sur place, bière brassée pour l’oktoberfest, d’un brun opaque trouble, nez agréable avec une pointe de caramel, douce en bouche, elle a une belle tenue, goût de levure en fin de bouche.elle manque d’effervescence. correct 6/10
