Pint at BBWks. Aroma mainly spices, cinnamon and clove. Tapped a darker gold off white cap. Flavor is much like pumpkin pie, cinnamon, clove and pumpkiny veggie taste. Palate is medium bodied and finish tails off nicely with the spices. Overall a solid offering.

On tap, at Allentown location. Pours a clear dark gold body with a small beige head. The nose is spice overload with tons of clove, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, the whole gamut of ammo for a pumpkin beer. A bit of pumpkin meat showing through, but not much. The flavor is all spice up front, a bit of pumpkin meat mid swallow, then the cinnamon and nutmeg take over on the finish. Medium bodied with a bit of clinginess and moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, about the usual for a pumpkin ale, decent for a 5 oz sample, but I wouldn’t want a whole pint.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite pumpkin ale. Every year, in September/October, I get a hankering for pumpkin beers, and I can’t find one like this anywhere! I live in San Diego, and was in Philly 2 years ago and found this one in a bar on South Street. Where can I get more? I would love to find it again! If you know where, please email me!

Pours reddish orange with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is pretty much nutmeg and sweet malts, but it doesn’t overpower and is actually pleasant (first cool night in a LONG time might be helping this one along). Flavor is a bit watery, but is otherwise pleasantly muted with notes of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg amongst the malty flavors. Palate is very thin, but not to the point of being completely offensive. Not a go-to beer by any means, but a decent offering for that one-time try!

Draft sampled. Pours a hazy orange with a off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, nutmeg, and notes of cinnamon. Flavor is thin bodied and mild with pumpkin, caramel malts, nutmeg, and some spices.

Hazy golden orange coloured body with a very dense tan head and millions of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of coriander seed, nutmeg, nuts and tons of caramel malt - no real pumpkin or strong spice smell at all. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour up front with a very noticeable spice taste and hints of nuts and malt. Aftertaste is bitter from the nuts and malt, but not showing much pumpkin or spice at all. Overall, a below average pumpkin/spiced beer, and one that really doesn’t need to be tried. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage last year, but tasted on 21 October 2007.

Color represents..."a diseased man’s urine"-Tina W. foam is apparent, but not prevalent...smells like pumpkin soap...tastes like pumpkin soap...thin body...has pumpkin flavor, not pretty, but pumpkin never the less

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a massive, foamy, off-white head. Tons of carbonation initially which settles down after a few mintues. Pleasant aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. There is less pumpkin and spice in the flavor than in the nose. Very thin, watery mouthfeel. This is an average brew that lacks personality.
