on tap at the BBW pub. cascading umber nitro pour, body goes to blackish chestnut with a very short medium tan thin creamy head. Aroma is light roasted chocolate malt, weak coffee. Flavor is mildly roasted oats, cocoa powder, and lactose. Thin mouthfeel and almost watery palate. Ok with lunch.

Tap (part of sampler). Pours a dark blackish brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and a little coffee. Flavor is much the same. A tad on thin side. Slightly watery. Very drinkable.

Draft - Black, creamy dark tan head. Deep roasted sweet coffee aromas warm to notes of milk chocolate and hints of blackberry. Dark chocolate roasty tones mingle with soft caramel oat and coffee-like flavors. A touch of back end bitterness pulls this together very well. Medium bodied, soft smooth carbonation, lightly bittersweet finish. A great session stout...

Draft at brewpub. Pours a very deep brown with a nice creamy tan head. Medium-full bodied with a creamy texture. Nicely blended flavors of dark roast, oats, and chocolate with just enough bitterness to balance things out. Finish is dry and a tad ashy. Nice beer.

The aroma was lightly fruity and roasty with a bit of chocolate. Mostly the aroma was filled with esters. The beer arrived pitch black opaque with a tan frohty head which stood super tall to lace the glass. The flavor was roasty and lightly winey with a strong estery presence. Chocolate and roast with an espresso and caramel which improved by leaps and bounds as the beer warmed. The finish was dry with a lasting winey presence too long into the aftertaste. The body was medium-full and the carbonation was nicely done making the beer creamy and smooth on the palate. An ok beer, but not wonderful due to flaws. Pint at BBW.

(draft, Bethlehem) Creamy tan head with brown-balck body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, some chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, roast, some chocolate, coffee. Watery light-medium body, easy drinking. Seems more like a dry stout.
