Commercial Description:
German style lager, reddish brown in color with hints of caramel, toffee, and a slight toasted flavor. Medium bodied with a smooth clean finish this lager is what the Germans refer to as a Dunkel (meaning dark). Brewed with imported German malts, yeast, and hops for an autentic taste. Cheers!

Draft at Bethlehem Pours a copper red with a tan head. Has okay aroma of carmel and toffee. Light hoppy taste and very mild. Not much of an aftertaste. Not a bad beer from a local brew pub.

Average dunkel, nothing much to write home about, brown color with a tan head, very little lacing left on the glass, nose of caramel, toffee & toasted bread, smooth & drinkable, flavors of light caramel & a subtle hint of hops, nice finish with a toffee-like flavor

on tap-pours a big foamy light tan head and dark copper/red color. Aroma is grain, medium malt-sweet toffee. Taste is lots of medium malt-toffee, secondary hops, dark fruit.

On tap at the BBW brew pub. Poured a deeper reddish/brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, toasted malts and I was getting a light chocolate as well. Tastes follow - sweet toffee finish. Lacing left on the glass. Boday a tad on the thin side.
