On tap at The Ram in Meridian. Dark brown with a tan head that left hardly any lacing. Powerful aroma of nuts and malts. It’s like drinking pureed pine nuts. Way too much in the nut department. Didn’t even drink half of the glass. Very disappointing considering their Taildragger IPA and Lost Reindeer Ale.

Tap at Meridian Ram under the name Nutcracker Porter: Pours a deep brown with a smaller beige head. Light bits of lacing. Aroma is very rich and flavorful with hazelnut and mocha/latte tones. Really, the aroma is quite fantastic. Tastes roasty with light coffee and mocha notes, hazelnut, and some lingering bitters. After it warmed a bit, the hazelnut seems a bit forced rather than a natural compliment to the brew. Looses a bit here overall. Still, a neat offering and a reminder that hazelnut is very tasty.

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Nice aroma of nuts and malt. Sweet flavor of caramel malt and there was some vanilla in there. Overall, I thought it was a solid brew. One of the better ones I have had from them.

On tap @ CB Potts Broomfield poured a clear dark brown with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of hazelnut, light vanilla and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of hazelnut, carmel and light vanilla with a smooth lingering hazelnut finish.
