Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted coffee, chocolate malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture with soft carbonation. Moderate toasted sweet flavor with a medium toasted sweet malt finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this sweet version to a freind.

Reddish brown pour with a small eggshell head. The appearance was definitely this beer’s weakest link. Aroma was of molasses, dark cocoa, and roasted coffee. Full flavored brew with lots of chocolate, caramel, and toffee...a tad thin for the style but not a bad beer.

Dark Reddish brown with light tan head. Nutty, very malty aroma. Initial taste is smooth malt with more of that nuttiness and sweet grains. Toasted malt and caramel flavors as well. Hints of spiced wine and roasted coffee.. Estery finish that was quite smooth.

Tap. Pours dark choclolate to black with brown hints and a very small off-white head. Leather and sour malt aromas and flavor, with a hop finish. Dark and full bodied palate.

tap at downtown Denver brewpub-pours deep brown, almost black with a small tan head-looks promising! Coffee, cardboard aroma with a slight toffee note as well. Thin body and weak flavors. palate was chakey feeling and offensive. Good lacing however! This needs work.
