Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.

A class A strong ale, brewed with guarana, Californian poppy, kola nut and Scottish heather honey. A conspiracy of trans-continental ingredients infused with some devastatingly BrewDog imaginative thinking.

This was a copper colored pour from the 750 ml bottle with a medium off-white head. The nose is very sweet and quite loaded with spices. Medium body and a sticky mouthfeel. Flavor is complex with fruit, honey and nuts. The finish is spicy. Drinkable.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a minimal head. Herbaceous and slightly nutty aroma while just a little bit woody. Lightly sour taste with medium bitterness as it finishes.

Not bad. Not great. Got a bit of pepper on the palate and some bubblegum. Interesting though.

Interesting beer. I don’t taste the flavors they say are in here but I do taste cabbage. And surprisingly a cabbage tasting brew taste good. Did I just type that? I dig the sorta creamy palate on this guy. Good bitter finish too which I’m always good with. Don’t know if I’d drink again but I’m glad I tried it.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Copper pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma is very sweet and spicy. Lots of honey and fruit notes. Flavor is sweet and fruity at the beginning as well. Could definitely taste the honey and spices. The fruit sweetness I could assume is the guarana. Couldn’t really taste any nut flavors, but since I’ve never had kola nuts, I could be mistaken. Sweet and spicy through the middle and into the finish with a mild earthy aftertaste.

Bottle from Cavie. Very clear orange pour. White head. Pepper and hop aroma. Taste is all pepper and coriander. Dry, almost sweet aftertaste.

Pours light brown with a light tan head. The aroma has white pepper, various spices, light toasted malt and poppy seed. Medium rough body with quite a bit of carbonation. The flavor starts with the aroma traits with some mineral traits and lots of powdery spices. The finish is very powdery and spicy. Okay beer.

Clear clear orange appearance. Has a big presence of a marzen smell. Sweet smells, nutty and sweet spice. Mouthfeel is creamier than expected. Flavor is upfront bitter that lingers. Malty feel but is conquered by several spice notes. Something that kicks you in the back of the throat. Very interesting. Lots of things that make me say hmm. Very well done for this style, as I don’t particularly like these.
