A ruddy reddish color with a nice diminishing rocky head. Lots of dry grain aromas, along with light caramel and grasses. Thin front end of the palate is watery with some mineral. Towards the end, some bittering hops and warm, chocolate malts surface. Drying finish. Not all bad, but not too much substance here.

Hazy maroon colored, huge tan head. Malty aroma and taste, with a slight bitter finish. Good body and character.

Fruktig bitter avslutning. Bra!

Organic beer (Ambree Biologique), 330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Wealthy head of gushing, slightly off-white, foam on top of a hazy, amber body. Firm lacing on the glass. Promising aroma of dry, caramel malts. Caramel-chocolate malts in flavour gradually replaced by Belgian ale fruitiness. Ends with notes of yeasty bitterness. Good, natural carbonation. Easy to drink and, in fact, rather thin on the swallow (Tromsø, 25.04.2009).
