Commercial Description:
Just released our newest seasonal – “Holy Sheet”. From the centuries-old tradition of Belgian Abbey monks comes our Uber Abbey Ale (9%). Aromatic and very full bodied, the beer will pour a deep burgundy in color and feature a rich, robust depth of malt character. Grab a line – Holy Sheet! – or you might be swept overboard.

Aroma of roasted toffee, molasses and chocolate. Body was nearly opaque, murky brown, patchy head. Flavor of almonds, honey biscuit and peanut butter cup. Palate was bubbly. Alright, not very good for the style.

Pour looks a lot like a Pepsi. The nose is a bit dark rum with a bit of an earthy note. A bit of raisin or currant flavor and some toffee. Medium body with some prickly carbonation. Dry finish. Eh.

Received a single 12-oz bottle via trade with kmweaver. Pours a semi-hazy reddish amber brew with just a fine film for head. Aroma of dried fruit, nutty caramel malt, and a touch of oak wood. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonation, with flavors of deep dark fruit, caramel malt and some citrus hop aftertate. Finish is quite sweet and short lived.

Pours hazy ruby amber with a frothy beige head. Aroma is alcohol, honey, and berries. Taste is roast malt and berry with a good amount of honey sweetness. Finishes with dry hop citrus.

Bottle split with scottyp and curly. Pours a clear brown with reddish highlights and small, quick fading, offwhite head. Massively sweet and boozy, rummy raisin, plum, and some nail polish on the nose. Good sipper. Underated imo. Awesome name to boot.

Wow....just wow. Why do some American breweries even attempt to brew Belgians of any sort. This was mainly a sugar bomb....nothing but sugar from start to finish. May was well of just poured sugar into the fermenter.

A dark orange brown ale with a thin off white head. A rather interesting aroma of sugar beet, brown sugar and rosewater. In mouth, a nice caramelly and molassey malt, dark figs, warmming alcohol. Nice and classy. Tap at BCTC 2009
