Cask @ redlight redlight. Pours gold with a bit of head. Low carbonation from being cask, seems a little thinner than it would have otherwise. Big fresh hop nose with lots of mandarin oranges, citrus, slightly floral, sweet chlorophyll, with some sweet malt showing through. Flavor is sweet, orange-like hops with a nice firm bitterness. So fresh. Glad to be getting fresh Clipper City brews here more regularly.

Bottle: Poured a orange color with a pillow off white head. Aroma is hoppy, but not overwhelming as one would think with it being enriched by so much hops. Taste is sweet at first, but as it warmed the hops came through with a nice balance, and then blast to the taste buds.

Cask at redlight redlight. Pours a nice yellow/orange. Fairly thick white head for a cask. Hints of sap and grapefruit in the nose. Pretty hoppy in the flavor but some good amber malts in there too. Smooth and surprisingly balanced. A very nice IPA.

12oz bottle from Chevy Chase in DC. Described as a "pounder" on the label, but I didn’t pound it. Pours a clear copper color with a nice white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is not as intense as I’d like but good. Sweet malt along with citrus and pine hops. Flavor is great - mildly sweet pale malt and caramel with a nice punch of bitter citrus and piney hops, along with mild resin. Palate is pretty rough, almost like sucking on a fresh hop cone. Medium body with lingering hop bitterness. Surprisingly good IPA.

12 oz. bottle recieved in trade from Daknole- thanks! Served in shaker- poured a transparent light copper color, low carbonation, thin white ring around the glass for a head. Aroima of light citrus and pine (hops), along with a shade of caramel. Hits the mouth with medium body, malt has been slightly sweetened, hops come in the middle, finish has a cloying effect with the hops as an underlying force. Interesting and good brew.

This was a great beer, but it wasn’t as bitter as it could be. Wonderfully floral and complex flavor. Satisfying and drinkable. I want to buy more of these and try pairing it with different foods.

It’s my go to beer. It’s wonderfully hoppy but not too bitter. There’s a nice it of malt and sometimes I swear there’s some vanilla in there. Last year I had the pleasure of drinking some from a batch with an extra pound in the dry hop and the grassy hop flavor was stupendous. Anyone who loves hops must try this beer.

Received a 12-oz bottle via trade with kmweaver. Pours a semi-clear dark amber brew with a thin off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and citrus/piney zest, some white pepper and a touch of pine. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with a bitter taste of caramel malt, grapefruit and more citrus zest. Finish is bitter with more citrus aftertaste than any caramel malt, So far, one of the best brews from Clipper City I’ve tried.
