(bottle) Clear, ruby brown colour with a dense and short tanned foamy head. Mildly roasted malty and slightly ashy and earthy aroma with shy hints of cacao, mocha and smoke. Sweet-bitter flavour with a tinge of acidity, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Roast-malty and earthy taste with liquorice, mocha and a whiff of peat and subtle fruity notes; roasty and mildly smokey finish with a light but balancing hoppy touch. 24.XII.09

500 ml bottle. Dark brown. Medium-sized off-white head. Crystal clear. Soft nutty chocolate aroma. Light bodied. Nice chocolatey flavours with a hint of roasted notes. Nice maltiness, but could have used more complex malts in my opinion. A little bland. Quite a nice session ale, but gets a little boring after a while.

Bottle, thx to tarjei. A clear, reddish dark brown beer with a small, beige head. Slightly burnt on the nose, with caramel and some dried fruits. Slightly burnt flavor too, caramel and some chocolate too. A little touch of dried fruits as well. Quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant roasted finish. A really easy to drink beer, could be downed by numbers. Not a big one, just pleasant. (090116)
