Tap @ The Dutch Bockbier Festival, 2009.
Pours nice hazy, deep chestnut with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma has apples, cucumber, softly roasted. Soft carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is really weird. Cucumber, apples, sweet, lightly roasted. Still fairly drinkable.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark brown with slight head. Sweet, malty nose. Taste of sugar, caramel and malts. Sweet with some honey. Nice.

Bottle @ home. Deep ruby brown colour, creamy beige head. Vinous aroma of dark fruits (plums and raisins), lots of sweetness and malts. Flavour is full, sweet, plums, chocolate and malts. A hint of bitterness in the finish, some alcohol. Really nice bock, although I guess to sweet for some.

From tap. Pours almost clear and golden deep amber with dense off-white head. Mild malty a light caramelish aroma. Smooth spiced flavour with a nice malty note. Dry. Light caramel and with a dry finish. Nice one, yet not too overly done clean.

Draught at Bokbierfestival 2008. Very dark brown colour. Very big beautiful creamy light brown head. The flavour is roasted, quite vinous, creamy. Quite nice, but a bit too vinous for my tastes.

At an slijterij in makado centrum purmerend holland, bottle says: lepelaer beemster, brouwerij de lepelaer, brew with beemsterhop, and a sign of the beemster terratory (an unesco place) so purmerend is 2 a 3 kilometers from the beemster, but now i see on ratebeer that it is from lochristi belgium, very strange. Dark brown, fluffy lasting head, lots of spices, some hop-bitter, caramel-sweeds, nice belgium one

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Dark ruby color, small brownish head. Toasted malty, caramellish aroma - not very strong. Very crisp carbonation. Watery palate. Light caramelly flavor, light toasted malts. Does not feel like 8 %. A bit bland.
