Bottle. Dark brown beer with a whispy head. The aroma is mildly spiced and mildly yeasty, and the flavour is strongy spiced and mulled. Overall a nice drinkable beer.

Bottled 330ml. -from Bierkonig Amsterdam. Orange coloured, small off-white head, touch of melon in rather sweet nose. Slightly citric and fresh fruity taste with notes of spices and alcohol. Nice De Prael.

Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Hazy amber colour, huge beige head. Aroma is alcohol, toffee, caramel malts, spices and mild nuttyness. Flavour is toffee, some alcohol, caramel malts, spices and also some slight butter. A bit harsh when fridgecold, but gets better when it warms up a bit.

Bottle from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam. A hazy, deep amber colored beer with a beige layer of foam on top. Distinct aroma of sweet, dark fruits. Some doughy malts and nutty notes. Sweet-flavored; sugary fruity and malty. Very mildly hopped. Spice and pepper notes. Mid-bodied, buttery in the mouth. Finishes on the drier side, with some acidulous fruitiness. A decent Heller Bock.

Bottle, 0,5 l bought at the brewery, Amsterdam. Nice amber-orange hazy appearance with a foamy tan head. Fine toasted malt aroma with some balanced spicy perfume of cinnamon and vanilla, some clove and wild fruits. Smooth mouthfeel with a toasty flavor, some sweet malt and caramel, nice spicies and fruits, light hop in the finish. Fine and delicious.

Pours a lightly carbonated caramel with an off white head. Light body. Phenol aroma but taste is just slightly sweet and predominately malty. Smoother aftertaste than ’Johny’, still a dry finish. A nice lentebock.

from crackedkettle.com - cloudy red-orange colour, the beige foam disappears very quickly; aroma of oranges with notes of candi sugar; a solid carbonation maintained a good malt body; some initial sweetness, a touch of acidity and a long, very dy and bitter aftertaste of oranges and honey - no analogies with a bock
