Muted aroma of sweet dark fruits and alcohol. Tastes of brown sugar and raisins with light bubblegum. Medium texture with sharp carbonation. Was quite drinkable - almost didn’t leave myself enough to do a proper rating. Yves (1050), Beerse, Belgium

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear amber with a small off white head that diminishes quickly leaving sticky lacing and a lot of carbonation. The aroma is a sweet fruit with plum and light spice. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet fruit malt with brown sugar and light caramel hiding the alcohol very well making it easy to drink. Enjoyed this one on Christmas 09’ Nisse666 (474), Göteborg, Sweden

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 24, 2009 750 ml bottle. 2008 vintage. Aroma is Belgian but very faint. Pours reddish amber with a nice, long-lasting milky-looking head. Lots of sediment. Beautiful looking beer. Tastes very Belgian; strong alcohol presence. Sweet, then bitter. Creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Excellent beer. Rating would (and should) be higher, but the almost non-existant aroma brought the score down.
