| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2009 Pour is a dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet caramel malts. Flavor is better with some roasted malts with a bit of a nutty taste that follows. After the swallow some chocolate is left along with a very nice earthyness. Tastes like fall. This is a decent beer i would get again if it wasn’t so expensive. shrubber85 (2891), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Bottle. Sweet apple and barley malt aroma with just a hint of alcohol. Copper color with small head. Slightly sweet apple and barley malt flavor. Nicely drinkable. Very nice. imdownthepub (5139), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Bottled, 330ml from DerDoppelbock, many thanks. Amber to brown with white head. Rich caramel malt body, a touch sweet with hints of spice, though you know they’re not there. Heavy on the alcohol, no messing, this lives & breathes alcohol. Some hops in the close, an accomplished beer. armando629 (981), Budapest, Hungary
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2009 0,33 l bottle, bought in Cracked Cattle, Amsterdam. Deep amber body with a nice foamy tan head. Fine aroma of toasted caramel and malt. Smooth mouthfeel with sweet-toasty caramel, fine body because of malts, light moderated bitterness. Fine one but not the best dunkler bock. Fullers74 (61), Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 26, 2009 This should be the real thing, what other brewers should try to make, but, I’m not very impressed. Luckily other brewers do make better bock’s than the original mcdav2154 (297), Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2009 In my opinion, this is what a bock should be in the taste. Nice malt flavor that comes to the front with a slight bite at the end that is short. Leaves a good mouthfeel after swallowed. Good beer. JamesD (197), Centreville, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2009 This is a very tasty Dunkel. A pungent aroma of malt and hops with a delicately balanced flavor. The mouthfeel is also good. I will buy more of this in the future. beerbastard (98), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 12, 2009 My disclamer first. I don’t usually drink Bocks. Now, this is a good looking beer, lite chesnut. Didn’t hold a head. The nose is a Munich Malt and honey. Feels nice on the palate. A well balanced bitterness and sweet malt combination. Finishes dry. I like it, it’s not what i’m used to drinking.
