Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

Dark brown. Roasty and toasty aroma with some bitter chocolate and light espresso notes. Flavor has some burned chocolate brownie notes and bitterness. Ok.

It pours an off-white/light brown, diminishing head. It is medium bodied with burnt chocolate at the fore and slight nuttiness. Nothing you need to wrap your mind around.

Dark pour with tan head. Lovely chocolate arouma. Nice chocolately flavor with a little charcoal. finishes with a hoppy bite. Good, but not as good as the double chocolate stout.

roasty chocolatey and hoppy. now that makes a good chocolate stout. just a bit of tree bark and bitter keeps it a grown up drink. head like a rootbeer and sweet without the rb flavor. refreshing and touch of earth gratefully not thick in the body at all. what i would expect from fort collins. just a touch of leather.

12 oz bottle from TC Craft. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma and flavor are deep roasted chocolate. Finish is smooth dark chocolate. Very good, not special.

Aroma is pretty sweet like most chocolate stouts. Malt dominates with a little smokiness and roasted coffee. Hops arent really present Pours a nice 2 finger chocolate head. Body is black in color. Head retention and lacing are good Flavor is light like a porter. Sweetness from the aroma isnt as evident on the palate. Roasted coffee is more present as well as some bitterness. Decent flavors but nothing special Mouth feel is pretty light, almost watery. Beer is aggressively carbonated. Head slightly contributes to the body but not enough to overlook the thin consistency Overall it’s above average. It is sessionable but kinda bland. A decent beer but dont think I’d buy again considering the tons of other awesome stouts available in Colorado

Draught. black with medium tan head. Aroma is chocolate, burnt notes consisting of some coffee and some light caramel. Flavor is cream, chocolate, roasted malts, and light citrus and even lighter fruit that is almost completely masked by malts and chocolate. A little too thin...especially if you see the Double Chocolate Stout.
