Aroma and flavor are deep roasted chocolate. Finish is smooth dark chocolate. Very good, not special. Angelmonster (15), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Aroma is pretty sweet like most chocolate stouts. Malt dominates with a little smokiness and roasted coffee. Hops arent really present
Pours a nice 2 finger chocolate head. Body is black in color. Head retention and lacing are good
Flavor is light like a porter. Sweetness from the aroma isnt as evident on the palate. Roasted coffee is more present as well as some bitterness. Decent flavors but nothing special
Mouth feel is pretty light, almost watery. Beer is aggressively carbonated. Head slightly contributes to the body but not enough to overlook the thin consistency
Overall it’s above average. It is sessionable but kinda bland. A decent beer but dont think I’d buy again considering the tons of other awesome stouts available in Colorado

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Draught. black with medium tan head. Aroma is chocolate, burnt notes consisting of some coffee and some light caramel. Flavor is cream, chocolate, roasted malts, and light citrus and even lighter fruit that is almost completely masked by malts and chocolate. A little too thin...especially if you see the Double Chocolate Stout.
