Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Poured solid black with a tall creamy brown head. The head left nice lacing througout the glass. The aroma was sweet chocolate and coffee with just a hint of alcohol. The initial taste was of milk chocolate with a creamy texture. In just a second or two the flavor rolled into more of a espresso coffee bitterness. The coffee flavor remand, but the bitterness mellowed on the fnish leaving more of a smokey sense on the palate, with just a bit of warmth from the alcohol, which was hidden very well. Very enjoyable beer!!

Draft at brewery. Pitch black colour, tan head. Aroma has lots of roasted malts and roasted coffee. Flavour of roasted malts, bitter coffee and chocolate. The roastiness is particulary nice.

A deep and viscous stout with a thin moka head. Strong aroma of Nestle Quick, and cappuccino coffee, fresh cereals, intense and pungeant. In mouth, a silky fruity stout, with coffee grinds, espresso, roasted cereals, smooth and silky, lots going on in mouth in this one. Rich and silky.

Pitch black with a thin a fading tan head. Intense nose of green coffee and milk chocolate. Full body with light carbonation, dominant flavors are green coffe (unroasted) first and finishes on cocoa and a little bit of roasted grains. Persistance of the aftertaste is quite notable. Almost like, as a kid, when I had too much of corn flakes with Quick cocoa milk...

It’s 10:45 am and 35 degrees in Boulder, perfect time for a Breakfast Stout. Bottled. Black as oil with creamy milk chocolate head. Aroma is roasted but not burnt, mild coffee, bitter unsweetened chocolate and soft oatmeal/grain. Smells like your house while your mom is baking. Flavor is roasted, salty and lingering light sweetness. Light alcohol burn in the throat, long roasted finish. Texture is lighter than it appears and is oily, medium bodied for an imperial stout.

07 bottle. Pours a thick pitch black with a thick mocha head which lasts. Aroma is all dark chocolate and espresso. Alcohol presence as well. Taste is more dark chocolate and espresso, smoke. Dark dark chocolate bitterness which stays on the tongue in the finish. The best coffee stout next to Kentucky Breakfast Stout.

pours out super thick and black with no light penetration with a thin dark mocha colored head. the aromas are coffee. well.....i also get a good amount of chocolate, roasted malts, carmelized sugar, plum and dark ripe fruits. it is full bodied with an amazing taste in which all the ingredients work in harmony. it is like a symphany on my friggin tongue. i taste the noted coffee, very nice and not overpowering, works really well with the tasted malts. it has a very creamy velvety mouth feel that feels like silk as it slides down the back of my throat. it is a little bitter from the coffee, but not to much from the hops that i can tell. it finishes a little watery and leaves a very soft aftertaste which is very plesent.
